  • The structure of Y0.5Er0.5AlO3 was refined from powder diffraction data (powder diffractometer HZG, Cu Kα): GdFeO3 type structure, space group Pbnm, a = 5.17011(5) Å, b = 5.32872(5) Å, c = 7.36274(8) Å, Z = 4, R = 0.1042 using the isotropic approximation for thermal parameters. The shortest interatomic distances are: Al-O 1.898(6) Å, Y(Er)-O 2.221(8) Å, Y(Er)-Al 3.0094(7) Å,Y(Er)-Y(Er) 3.628(2) Å, Al-Al 3.6874(1) Å, O-O 2.682(9) Å. The coordination numbers for the atoms are: yttrium (erbium) 8, aluminum 6, O1 12, O2 13.
