abstract

  • Cognitive Radio (CR) is another technology in which a framework can sense its surroundings and adjust to the new working parameters to improve the transmission quality. A flexile and versatile physical (PHY) layer is required to execute the previously stated capacities. In this paper the two spread spectrum procedures to be specific DSSS and FHSS are examined regarding how these meet the PHY layer necessities of CR. Further, the comparision between these two strategies has been done utilizing MATLAB, demonstrating FHSS works better than DSSS in CRNs under the parameters of Data Drop Rate, Throughput, and Detection Time.
