abstract

  • The primary research goal was to determine the needs of the Hispanic community in these two areas for information, education, risk reduction, and other services related to AIDS/HIV. Six target population groups (over 2500 participants in total) were studied: adolescents; IV drug users; gay men; people with AIDS or HIV; family members of people with AIDS or HIV; and women of childbearing age. Having outlined survey techniques, the paper concentrates on six key findings and thier significance, and a comparison of Puerto Rican and mainland US sites. -P.Hardiman
