abstract

  • With recent traffic explosion, more innovative solutions are required to accommodate user demands. Various studies were done to promote small cells as possible low cost solution to the current capacity problem. Motivated by the capacity crunch problem, we carried out this study on indoor small cell performance using simulation model which mimics real traffic scenario. In this paper we provide an extensive study using small cell deployment simulation model. Further gain can be added by utilizing higher order modulation. We believe that deploying higher order modulation (256 QAM) enabled small cell will help to solve the capacity problem.
