abstract

  • This paper presents the design, implementation and primary evaluation of a tool that aims to support industrial processes towards the optimization of energy consumption. The authors describe in the first part of this paper the processes followed in an industrial environment and particularly the Product Cost Accounting Information System. The second part is devoted to the technical details of the system that integrates dominant simulation tools for data generation, machine learning algorithms for energy consumption predictions, and all the appropriate mechanisms that deliver the required scalability and flexibility of the system to serve its purpose.
