abstract

  • A planar ultra-wideband dual polarized reflectarray of tightly coupled dipoles is presented. The unitcell structure of the array is modular in nature, with its dipoles - arranged in an egg-crate configuration to support dual-polarization. The array is designed for broadside operation and exhibits more than 5:1 frequency bandwidth, maintaning an active VSWR < 2.5. To introduce the required phase shift at each unit cell, meandered true time delay lines implemented in planar configuration are used thereby making the proposed reflectarray extremely compact.
