  • In this paper, an innovative ground-moving target detection technique based on clutter-proximity feature is proposed for airborne radar. The clutter-proximity feature is extracted from the radar echoes in the angle-Doppler domain. After that, target and clutter are classified using the extracted proximity features from the domain. The proposed technique is particularly suitable for the suppression of the unknown ground clutter. The simulation results have validated the effectiveness of this new approach.
