abstract

  • 1. Today, in an effort to develop the profession of nursing, nurses are working to base nursing actions on a theoretical model. 2. There are four reemerging themes evidenced in both the Nightingale and Roy models, including environment, person, health, and nursing. 3. The Roy and Nightingale models share more similarities than differences: both describe their metaparadigm (ie, environment, person, health, and nursing) in relation to their models.
