abstract

  • The Latin-American continent is often considered to be homogenous from a religious point of view. The author points out the historical presence of plurality, the fragmentation of the Latin-American religious domain and the recent institutional recognition of this religious plurality. The latter manifests itself, for example, in the various forms of Protestantism and the proliferation of sects.
