abstract

  • Soft-tissue injuries to the hip are common injuries to athletes of all ages. The age of an athlete and the nature of the sport can predispose one to certain hip-related injuries. The mechanism of injury plays a key role in assessing muscle-related hip injuries and their rehabilitative approach. Establishing a thorough differential diagnosis for hip injuries will help provide for a quicker and safer return to participation. Treatment techniques for soft-tissue pathology about the hip must be unique to the causes and symptoms of each condition.
