abstract

  • The adaptive local cosine transform (ALCT) is applied to identify the time-frequency distribution of an ultra-wideband signal transmitted through a dispersive propagation channel in the presence of noise. The estimated time-frequency distribution is then used to detect subsequently transmitted signals. Simulation results show the ALCT outperforms the traditional short-time Fourier transform. © 2002 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Microwave Opt Technol Lett 35.
