abstract

  • Simulated annealing (SA) is a powerful statistical computational technique for obtaining approximate solutions to combinatorial optimization problems. An efficient simulated annealing algorithm is employed to design good phase coding waveforms, which include binary sequences, binary sequence sets, and polyphase sequence. Some of the designed results and their properties are presented. Such phase coding waveforms may be applicable to radar and communication areas.
