abstract

  • The effects of the human body on wearable and implantable Wireless Power Transfer (WPT) systems, which are based on the Conformal Strongly Coupled Magnetic Resonance (CSCMR) method, are studied. Specifically, a CSCMR system's efficiency in free space is compared to its efficiency at several locations on and inside the human body. Simulations were performed using the EM SIM4LIFE software and a detailed human body model (i.e., Duke). The effects of the head, chest, and lower back are examined for wearable applications.
