abstract

  • Weber's Law applies to visual discrimination by spotted seals of discs of 0.96-5.57°. We obtained a value for Weber's fraction of 0026, which compares closely with the value of 0.029 reported for humans making visual line length discriminations. The likelihood of intensity discriminations contributing to these disc discrimination thresholds is low. © 1976.
