abstract
Based on Monte Carlo simulation and Mie theory, an efficient algorithm has been developed for depthresolved backscattering of polarized light through turbid medium. A low-coherence reflectometer is used to perform the experiment on tissue phantoms. © 2003 Optical Society of America.
