Natural regeneration covers the full range of biological and ecological processes that enable populations to be renewed. The article attempts to synthetically describe the set of factors and parameters that arboreal plants whose reproduction is sexual are dependent upon. The germination, seedling and young stem stages are described in succession together with the main ecological features of the tropical rainforest environment.
