abstract

  • In this paper, a new method to simultaneously extract target range and radial velocity information in radar systems is introduced. A pair of orthogonal waveforms with different pulse repetition frequencies (PRF) are bundled and transmitted as a single hybrid radar waveform for target measurement. Two orthogonal signal processing channels, i.e. low PRF and high PRF channels, at the receiver perform the extraction of target range and Doppler information, respectively. The processing results using the proposed algorithms for both single target and multiple targets are presented.
