  • The authors outline a series of successful techniques they have employed for strengthening their testing and grading procedures. Items of particular note include the evaluation of test reliability, difficulty level, dispersion and the use of standard scores in determining course grades. The intent is to provide information on how sound educational evaluation methods may be developed in a hospitality curriculum. The system described is based on established norm referenced grading techniques, yet is applicable to criterion referenced grading in many respects. © 1983, Sage Publications. All rights reserved.
