abstract

  • Top executives were surveyed to determine their subjective criteria regarding the process of strategic problem formulation. Three criteria (clarity, politicality and complexity) were identified and used to determine which activities in the SPF process contributed to explaining the criteria. It was found that a clear process was perceived to be one in which several views were considered but where a synthesis was developed. © 1987, Sage Publications. All rights reserved.
