Outliers in the measurement series pose a problem in the evaluation of flooding by means of probability models. In this paper, some tests for identifying outliers with the aid of Monte Carlo simulation are investigated. It is shown that most of the commonly used identification tests yield unsatisfactory results in the case of transformed random samplings of this distribution.
