abstract

  • We have developed a dual-channel intrafascicular electrode and classification technique which improve single cell discriminability in recordings of multi-cellular activity in peripheral nerves. The electrode is composed of two separately insulated multi-strand bundles of carbon fibers. Its small size makes intraneural differential recording possible which may improve EMG noise rejection. The technique is based on a binary search clustering method and achieves higher classification success than a standard window discriminator.
