abstract

  • In a globalized world with a constantly changing demand, it's important that the companies can develop supply chain strategies that allow them to remain competitive. Supply Chain Agility (SCA) arises as an answer to this problem. The purpose of this article is to review and analyze the latest literature studies about SCA. Furthermore, know the principal drivers and enablers that increase the agility level and the pillars that each company followed to achieve agility. Because of this, it was required to review several specialized author/articles in agility and Supply Chain Management (SCM) concepts, as well as being actualized continuously with the various changes that occur in the areas investigated. For this study, 48 articles were analyzed from different databases, such as Scopus, Emerald Insight, Inderscience, Taylor & Francis, and Science Direct, with a publication range between the years of 2004 and 2018. With this, it is expected that manufacturing companies in Peru or other emerging countries begin to investigate more this strategy, with the aim to become more competitive companies globally.
