abstract

  • The Mode Matching Technique has been applied to characterize a cylindrical waveguide terminated by a number of non-trivial, engine-like configurations consisting of an array of straight or curved grooves. The latter termination is of most interest because of its closer resemblance to the jet engine face. The presented data are compared with measured results and found to be useful in validating future finite codes developed for this application.
