A scattering solution for the thick-impedance half plane is presented which employ the angular spectrum method along with the generalized scattering matrix formulation (GSMF). The problem is then subdivided into solutions for the direct diffraction and coupling for a pair of impedance half planes, and for the radiation and reflection due to a modal field traveling toward the termination of the half planes. The scattering matrices need only include a few attenuating modes. The comparison between measured and calculated results shown is good.
