Photopheresis is a recent therapeutic modality employed in certain forms of cutaneous T-cell lymphomas. It entails the activation of orally ingested 8-methoxypsoralen in the blood through an extracorporeal system. We are reporting our experience with 18 patients; 15 with cutaneous T-cell lymphoma, 1 with progressive systemic sclerosis, 1 with pemphigus vulgaris and 1 with scleredema adultorum. Even though our experience is limited, photopheresis appears promising not only in improving the patient's quality of life, but possibly affecting their survival.
