This study describes a useful tool for the evaluation and three-dimensional visualization of the consequences of component design and orientation on impingement and dislocation. This evaluation allows surgeons to understand the effect of component orientation and design on range of motion after THA. This is an effective tool to enable surgeons to simulate in vivo errors and appreciate the effect of component design and orientation on range of motion and stability after THA.
