abstract

  • Corrosion properties of nanocrystalline and cobalt alloy coatings were investigated using plasma spraying technique. The macrostructure and microstructure of the nanocrystalline and cobalt alloy coatings prepared by plasma spraying were studied using scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM). The results show that the nanocrystalline coatings has higher porosity, lower corrosion current density and less localized damage with respect to the conventional cobalt alloy coatings.
