In this paper we prove new Lp estimates for Gegenbauer polynomials (formula presented). We let (formula presented) be the measure in (-1, 1) which makes the polynomials (formula presented) orthogonal, and we compare the (formula presented). We also prove new (formula presented) estimates of the restriction of these polynomials to the intervals (formula presented) where zn denotes the largest zero of (formula presented).
