abstract

  • Reliability and frequency response estimation accuracy of the Recursive Multichannel Maximum Entropy Method (RMMEM) was tested on the simulated and experimental data. In the study, the average of the absolute frequency response estimation errors was in the range of 0. 17 to 1. 7% for magnitude and 2. 9 to 3. 7 degrees for phase angle when the RMMEM was used with 1020 data points of simulated systems with three degrees of freedom. The RMMEM was found very sensitive to input signal. Best estimations were obtained when the input signal was composed of 100 harmonics which represent different frequencies.
