This Special Issue contains 12 papers from a symposium held at the University of Pittsburgh, November 1990. The symposium was held to discuss the causes and consequences of unwanted pregnancies in the US, and the social, political, and ethical aspect of public policies that can be adopted to prevent the problems they cause.
