abstract

  • The occurrence, habits and textures of kimberlitic chlorites are described. Distinctive chemical and structural features include low Al2O3 (8-12 wt.%), high SiO2 (28.97-41.65 wt.%), high MgO (19.0-28.0 wt.%), high FeO (= or < 29.5 wt.%), and dominance of the Ia type of layer-interlayer stacking.-J.A.Z.
