abstract

  • The textural, mineralogical, chemical and isotopic features associated with all the various rock types comprising the metasomatic suite of peridotite nodules from the Kimberley pipes are described. The metasomatism is one in which H2O-rich fluids charged with K and other silicate-incompatible elements have existed, or have migrated upwards, over 30-50 km in the garnet stability field during the past 190-90 m.y.-R.E.S.
