This study focuses on the sensitivity of one-dimensional solute transport codes to variations in parameters such as dispersion coefficient, velocity, and retardation factor on the dissolved concentration of tracers and contaminants in subsurface environments. The uncertainty associated with results obtained from these models needs to be evaluated in view of the in-situ variability of these parameters and of problems or limitations in obtaining accurate and precise experimental data. Study materials, methods and results are discussed.
