The GMFR (Geometric Mean Functional Relationship) method is introduced to correlate the fluid flow heat transfer data where both of the variables have significant errors or the data are random in some sense. The advantage of this method is that it is symmetrical about two variables. As examples, the GMFR method is used to: (a) Establish the statistic relationships between Nu and fRe for laminar flow heat transfer in ducts with various thermal boundary conditions. (b) Correlate the heat transfer data of air/water two-phase flow in helicoidal pipes. Some useful correlations about the momentum/heat transfer analogy of laminar flow in ducts and air/water two-phase flow heat transfer in helicoidal pipes are suggested.
