This paper presents the solution of the fully developed convective heat transfer problem involving combined flow in a multi-passage circular conduit, which has a constant outside wall temperature along its entire length. The successive approximation approach is used, which is a method generally used in obtaining the solutions to convective heat transfer problems involving uniform wall temperature. Expressions for the Nusselt number at the outer and inner separating surfaces are obtained. The limiting cases, where the dimensionless radius of separating surface is zero or one, are correlated with existing values of the Nusselt number. For both parallel and counter flow arrangements, representative curves are plotted to illustrate variations of Nusselt numbers as a function of the pertinent parameters. The behaviors of these curves are also discussed.
