abstract

  • An artificial neural-network design is proposed for solving deconvolution problems by simulating numerical integration functions. The developed network has been successfully employed in calculating cerebral blood-flow rates which are conventionally obtained by solving a convolution integral. The proposed method significantly reduces the processing time and is therefore very promising for real-time applications in a critical-care environment.
