It has been found that the efficiency of tuned class E power amplifiers depends on the magnitude of the driving signal and on the magnitude of the dc voltage of the power supply. Two nonlinear effects explain this behavior: the dependence of the ON resistance with the driving signal and the voltage dependence of the output capacitance.
