The method development for the use of LIBS in the analysis of glass, paint, plant matter, paper and ink will be described along with the observed figures of merit and compared to the more mature Laser Ablation Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometry (LA-ICP-MS). © 2012 OSA.
