  • In a time when approximately 50% of marriages end in divorce, a closer examination of the components of a satisfied marital relationship seems warranted. Research will evidence that factors such as intimacy, spousal support, stress, children, finances and length of relationship may affect a spouse's level of satisfaction in a marriage. Further, there are characteristics of both partners separately and together that influence the level of satisfaction.
