Maggie Salas-Amaro is an award-winning producer and media executive. She joined the FIU School of Journalism + Media in 2019 teaching courses in production, writing and introduction to TV. She is the producer for the podcast “Tech Conversations” presented by the FIU Ratcliffe Art + Design Incubator. During her media career she worked for some of the world’s most successful brands including: Viacom, The Walt Disney Company, NBC Universal, Fox, Hola! TV and Univision. Ms. Salas-Amaro, is a South Florida native and an FIU Alumnus of the School of Journalism + Media. She also earned a Master of Management degree from the University of Phoenix School of Business, and is an adjunct faculty member since 2009.
