biography

  • Dr. Riquezes is a lawyer with a Master's degree in Human Rights, Rule of Law, and Democracy in Latin America (Universidad de Alcalá, Spain), and a doctoral degree in Political Science (Universidad Simón Bolívar, Venezuela). Her research focuses on transitional justice processes in Latin America and International Human Rights Law. Having ample experience as a researcher and lecturer, she has taught both undergraduate and graduate courses in Venezuela and the United States. Dr. Riquezes is the Associate Director of the Green School's Václav Havel Program for Human Rights and Democracy, a Visiting Assistant Teaching Professor at the Department of Politics and International Relations, and Director of the Undergraduate Certificate Program in Human Rights and Political Transitions.
