Abilene Pinzon is a double alumn of Florida International University earning a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Human Resource Management as well as a Master’s degree in Adult Education and Human Resource Development. Abilene is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), Phi Eta Sigma National Honor Society (FIU chapter) and Golden Key International Honor Society.Abilene currently serves as a Director of Academic Support Services for Florida International University’s Office of the Provost, Planning and Finance specializing on academic faculty Human resource matters and faculty information system development. Abilene has over a decade of Human Resource experience, with the last 13 years working in higher education. Some of her major contributions include championing the automation of faculty credentialing with a union to the class schedule, implementation of the faculty activities reporting system at FIU and implementation of the ERP Human Resource module.
