  • Dr. Juan A. De Llano Montano, Ph.D., is an Associate Professor and Capstone Project Administrator in the Physician Assistant Program. He is the course director of Physiology I and II and the unit director of Nephrology. Before joining FIU, Dr. De Llano worked as an Associate Professor for the PA Program at Miami Dade College for 9 years. He has over 24 years of clinical experience in emergency medicine, nutrition, and work-related diseases.
    Dr. De Llano earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Havana and a Ph.D. in Public Health Epidemiology from Walden University. His commitment to education is evident through his development of comprehensive syllabi, exams, and other course materials that ensure high standards of learning and accreditation compliance. As the Capstone Project Administrator, he provides vital mentorship and support, guiding students through their research projects to successful completion and publication.
