biography

  • Tracy Cassagnol, M.D., joined HWCOM in 2021 as a professor of Clinical Skills and the Basic Sciences. She teaches within the Clinical Skills I and Clinical Skills 2 course and Anatomy and Physiology, Cellular Biology within Period 1 and Period. She is the Co-course director of the P3 Course, Core Concepts in Medicine (Osler Friday).

    Before joining FIU, Cassagnol served as a primary care physician at Duke University. She is an experienced, board-certified family medicine physician who provides health care to the underserved communities of Opa Locka and Miami Gardens through the Student Faculty Collaborative Clinic (SFCC), a student-run clinic that operates within the Universal Heritage Institute.

  • Cassagnol is passionate about promoting diversity in the health professions and serves as a faculty mentor for the Student National Medical Association and member of the Diversity Action Committee.
