biography

  • Dr. Yasmine N. Campbell is a Clinical Assistant Professor at Florida International University (FIU) in the Nurse Anesthesiology Department in Miami, Florida. Dr. Campbell has worked in the clinical setting for over 25 years and in the specialty of anesthesia for 17 years. Dr. Campbell earned a master's degree in Nurse Anesthesia and a Doctor of Nursing Practice with a Specialization in Anesthesia from Barry University, Classes 2006 and 2015, respectively. Dr. Campbell is also a graduate of the University of South Florida post-graduate Nurse Educator Certificate program. She recently completed her Certified Nurse Educator certification endorsed by the National League of Nursing in 2022. Dr. Campbell's goals are to continue on the AANA Education Committee to assist in the Educator Edge and complete the podcast for new educators. Dr. Campbell also provides mentorship to the Diversity CRNA resume and personal statement committee and is Co-Chair on FANA Research Committee, where she reviews posters and is a mentor for the NBCRNA CPCA writing committee. Dr. Campbell is also on the education committee at the Jamaican Nurses Association of South Florida and the Jamaica Diaspora. She reviews scholarship applications and presents internationally to nurses in Jamaica on education. Dr. Campbell is a member of Sigma Theta Tau International and is a governance member at the FIU chapter.
