biography

  • Dr. Elizabeth Azutillo, PhD, MA, MSN, RN is a Clinical Associate Professor for Undergraduate Nursing at the Nicole Wertheim College of Nursing and Health Sciences. Dr. Azutillo a renown nurse practitioner with years of experience in both the United States and the Philippines where she continues to collaborate on research and academia on topics such as nurse leadership and advances in clinical training.

    Dr. Azutillo has presented at many international conferences including Sigma Theta Tau where she is an active member since 2003. A member of both the Philippine Nurses Association of America and the Florida Nurses Association, Dr. Azutllio's research has been internationally published and cited.

    Moreover, Dr. Azutillo has worked on several research grants including grants funded by the National Institute of Health (NIH) Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality.

    Dr. Azutillo received a Master of Science in Nursing specializing in Medical-Surgical Nursing from the Universidad de Santa Isabel in the Philippines, a secondary Master of Science in Nursing specializing in Primary Health Care from Saint Paul University, and her PhD in Nursing Education from NOVA Southeastern University.
