biography

  • Iris Aguilar holds a doctoral degree in Policy, Planning, and Development (DPPD) from the University of Southern California (USC), Price School of Public Policy. Throughout her career, Dr. Aguilar has blended administrative expertise with scholarly research activities focused on enhancing the well-being of older adults and their families, with a special emphasis on those impacted by dementia.

    Dr. Aguilar is the Director of Program Administration for the Population Health Initiative within the Office of Research and Economic Development at Florida International University (FIU). She is also an Adjunct Lecturer in the Department of Public Policy and Administration at FIU's Steven J. Green School of International and Public Affairs.
